I started painting abstract faces when my daughter Jessi was sick and we would spend all day at the hospital, her and I would draw in our sketchbooks while waiting. When we would get home we would both retreat to our studios and paint. It really was a way to relieve stress. I normally draw from life, so painting like a mad women on these faces was definitely different. To date I have done well over 500 and I continue working on them while I'm waiting for other work to dry. I hate wasting paint so that's what I do with it, it's therapeutic. Currently I'm going larger with them, more on that later.
